If possible, Chi Xingyu hoped this machine would never come down.
There were no annoying people or so-called game rules around; only their hands, forever connected.
As the drop tower slowly descended, upon closing the distance, Zhong Yi naturally saw the two of them with their fingers entwined.
Zhong Yi’s face changed suddenly.
So this could be done too?!
If he had known, he would have gone up as well; it was only over a hundred meters, after all.
The staff helped them unbuckle their safety belts, and Tong Sui thanked them. As he stood up, he felt a slight dizziness.
With a hat on, his hair remained untouched by the wind, only his cheeks were a bit more flushed than before.
Chi Xingyu next to him looked as if he hadn’t quite returned to his senses, his mouth a tight line and his hair appearing disheveled, still sitting on the seat without moving.
This was completely at odds with his usual cool and indifferent guy persona.
Taking advantage of Chi Xingyu’s daze, Tong Sui couldn’t help but reach out to ruffle his messy hair.
It felt a bit prickly.
Chi Xingyu’s hair was not the soft kind.
“Are you okay, Chi God?”
Chi Xingyu’s eyelashes fluttered as if he finally recognized Tong Sui standing before him, lifting his hand to hold onto the delicate wrist.
It was so slim, as if it could snap with just a little force.
Yet, Chi Xingyu couldn’t help but lean in slightly, rubbing his cheek against the palm, like a small dog enjoying its owner’s affection.
Everyone around was frozen, and even Chi Xingyu himself didn’t understand why he was making such a gesture.
It was as if all principles and images were merely things to be broken in front of Tong Sui.
Zhong Yi was the first to react; he quickly stepped forward, grabbing Tong Sui by the shoulder and pulling him outward.
Tong Sui’s back hit Zhong Yi’s solid shoulder, naturally retracting his hand.
Chi Xingyu looked at Zhong Yi in displeasure, making a tiny click with his mouth, unhappy about the interruption.
Zhong Yi pretended not to understand his expression, “If you’re scared, then don’t go up. Who has time to look after you? We need to get to the next attraction.”
Saying that, he dragged Tong Sui away.
Chi Xingyu followed suit, but while in the car, he kept supporting his face with his hand, right on the spot where Tong Sui had touched him earlier.
When they reached the next game, Zhong Yi, despite still being scared, wasn’t going to let Tong Sui ride with Chi Xingyu again.
He pulled the grumpy-looking Chi Xingyu onto the roller coaster.
Chi Xingyu said, “I request to sit far away from him; he’s going to puke on me.”
“……” Zhong Yi replied, “I’m not that weak, okay? Just don’t end up holding my hand and touching my face later.”
Chi Xingyu sneered, “Don’t worry; I wouldn’t touch you even if I had to chop off my hands.”
“……”
No need to be so harsh.
Before they started, Zhong Yi thought, isn’t it just a roller coaster? How scary can it be? After it started, Zhong Yi realized he had underestimated it.
This was really terrifying!
“Ahhhhhhh!!!”
Zhong Yi couldn’t hold back his screams, his toes in his leather shoes almost digging into a castle, his mind only thinking of grabbing something nearby.
Pulled tight by Zhong Yi, Chi Xingyu took a deep breath, enduring the noise assault from all directions, his already cold face looking even gloomier.
Compared to the roller coaster, Zhong Yi was a hundred times scarier.
Chi Xingyu held back the urge to hit him, telling him, “Tong Sui is listening below.”
Zhong Yi instantly shut up.
He bit his lower lip, refusing to make any more noise; nothing was more important than saving face—he couldn’t embarrass himself!
The whole experience was actually quite short, yet Zhong Yi felt it was infinitely long.
When they returned to the end, Chi Xingyu couldn’t wait for the staff to unbuckle their safety belts and did so himself.
So different from when he had just come down from the drop tower, it felt like staying another second was punishment for him.
“Hey, aren’t you being a bit heartless?”
Zhong Yi originally wanted to follow, but his legs felt weak, so he could only call for his bodyguards to support him.
“Sir, are you okay?”
Zhong Yi stood and felt a wave of nausea, bending over as if he was about to throw up.
The bodyguard promptly reached out to catch him.
Zhong Yi pushed his hand away, “Go buy me some water.”
“Of course.”
Receiving the instruction, the bodyguards immediately took action. They weren’t foolish enough to just buy water; they also got various snacks and drinks.
They sat in the car, and after a while, received a large bag.
Zhong Yi naturally had no appetite; he took a bottle of water and handed everything else to Tong Sui, “Take whatever you want.”
Tong Sui picked a skewer of candied hawthorn.
As the car moved to the next part, the few people in it were all attracted by him.
The candied hawthorn was a bright red, coated with a shimmering sugar coating, looking translucent. Since a whole hawthorn was stuffed onto it, his cheeks bulged round.
Perhaps their gazes were too intense, as Tong Sui, who had originally been looking outside, turned to meet countless eager eyes, pausing for a moment, “Do you want to eat it?”
Several people nodded.
Tong Sui rummaged through the bag Zhong Yi had given him, and although there were other snacks inside, he only had the candied hawthorn in his hand.
“This one I’ve taken a bite of; if you don’t mind, you can have it.”
As he spoke, Tong Sui handed over the candied hawthorn.
This somewhat ambiguous gesture, combined with his overly candid attitude, made it feel completely normal, as if similar actions had been repeated many times before.
The nearest Jiang Ciyuan froze for a few seconds; he had never had such a thing, let alone one that had already been bitten.
Given his identity, Jiang Ciyuan’s family was a renowned wealthy clan, so it was quite reasonable for him to refuse.
Under everyone’s gaze, Jiang Ciyuan voluntarily nodded slightly, taking a bite out of the piece of candied hawthorn that had already been eaten.
